 The Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In), India’s cybersecurity watchdog, has issued a high severity warning for Google Chrome users in the country. Multiple vulnerabilities have been discovered in Google Chrome that could be exploited by remote hackers to execute arbitrary code on users’ systems, potentially leading to sensitive information theft and security breaches.Vulnerabilities Affecting Windows, Mac, and Linux Operating SystemsThe vulnerabilities affect Google Chrome versions prior to:

  • 127.0.6533.88/89 for Windows and Mac
  • 127.0.6533.88 for Linux

Remote Hackers Can Execute Arbitrary Code and Steal Personal InformationThe vulnerabilities allow remote hackers to:

  • Execute arbitrary code on users’ systems
  • Make users click on malicious website links that can bypass device security and steal personal information

Update Google Chrome Now to Stay SafeTo protect yourself from these vulnerabilities, update Google Chrome to the latest version by following these steps:

  1. Click on the three dots menu in the top right corner of Chrome
  2. Go to Settings
  3. Update Chrome
