The Climate Interpretation Park stands out for its unique features, including a sculpture garden, children’s play area, yoga and meditation spaces, and an archaeological interpretation zone. Designed with sustainability at its core, the park serves as a carbon and heat sink, utilizing native plant species and an efficient rainwater reuse system.
According to the Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority (CMDA), this innovative park underscores the state’s commitment to combating urban heat islands and promoting ecological balance. The addition of an Archaeological Interpretation Centre and museum further enhances its cultural and educational appeal, offering visitors insights into the region’s rich historical heritage.
Virtual Inauguration of Key Urban Projects
In addition to the park, Chief Minister Stalin also virtually inaugurated a new Omni Bus Station near Mudichur in Chengalpattu district. Constructed at an estimated cost of ₹42.70 crore, the station is set to enhance connectivity and improve transportation infrastructure in the area. The facility is expected to ease congestion and provide a streamlined travel experience for long-distance commuters.
Healthcare Initiative at Koyambedu Wholesale Market
A significant healthcare initiative was also launched on the same day with the opening of a Mini Clinic at the Koyambedu Wholesale Market. Developed at an investment of ₹1 crore, this clinic aims to provide better healthcare access to local vendors and residents.
