In a momentous occasion leading up to the consecration of the Ram Lalla Temple in Ayodhya, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to grace the city with the inauguration of transformative projects worth a staggering ₹15,000 crore. This significant investment encompasses critical developments in the airport, railway station, highway, and railway line doubling, reshaping the landscape of Ayodhya for the better.
1. Ayodhya Dham Junction Railway Station: A Marvel at ₹240 Crore
PM Modi will kick off the festivities by inaugurating the Ayodhya Dham Junction Railway Station, an architectural marvel built at a cost exceeding ₹240 crore. Boasting a three-story structure, the station is equipped with cutting-edge facilities, including lifts, escalators, food plazas, and childcare rooms. Remarkably, the station is designed for universal accessibility and has earned recognition as a green station building from the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC).
2. Yogi Adityanath’s Assessment Visit
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is rescheduled to visit Ayodhya to assess the preparations for PM Modi’s visit on December 30. Originally deferred due to adverse weather conditions, the Chief Minister’s visit aims to ensure everything is in place for the grand occasion.
3. Flagging Off Amrit Bharat Trains
On Saturday at 11 am, PM Modi will flag off the Amrit Bharat trains, featuring the non-air-conditioned LHB push-pull train design. These trains boast appealing seat designs, improved luggage racks, mobile charging points, LED lights, CCTV surveillance, and a public information system.
4. Inauguration of Amrit Bharat and Vande Bharat Trains
PM Modi is scheduled to inaugurate two Amrit Bharat trains, namely the Darbhanga-Ayodhya-Anand Vihar Terminal Amrit Bharat Express and the Malda Town-Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminus (Bengaluru) Amrit Bharat Express. Additionally, six new Vande Bharat Trains will commence operations on key routes, enhancing the nation’s rail network.
5. Dedication of Railway Projects Worth ₹2,300 Crore
The Prime Minister will dedicate three railway projects worth ₹2,300 crore, including the Rooma Chakeri-Chanderi third line project and significant sections of the Jaunpur-Ayodhya-Barabanki doubling project.
6. Ayodhya Airport Inauguration and Beyond
Modi’s visit encompasses the inauguration of the newly built Ayodhya Airport. Moreover, he will participate in a public program dedicating development projects worth over ₹15,700 crore in the state, including initiatives for Ayodhya and surrounding areas, and other developments across Uttar Pradesh.
7. Development and Beautification Initiatives
PM Modi will inaugurate the development and beautification of tourist facilities from Naya Ghat to Laxman Ghat, along with other initiatives such as a visitor gallery for events like Deepotsav and the strengthening of the pilgrim path from Ram Ki Paidi to Raj Ghat and Raj Ghat to Ram Temple.
8. Ayodhya’s Urban Renaissance
Ayodhya’s urban landscape will witness the launch of a Greenfield township valued at over ₹2180 crore and the Vashishtha Kunj Residential Scheme, estimated at around ₹300 crore.
9. Foundation Stone Laying Ceremony
PM Modi will lay the foundation stone for various infrastructure projects, including the Lucknow-Ayodhya section of NH-28 (new NH-27), the modification of the existing Ayodhya bypass, the establishment of the CIPET center, and the construction of offices for the Municipal Corporation Ayodhya and Ayodhya Development Authority.
10. Inauguration Extravaganza Across Uttar Pradesh
Modi is set to inaugurate several significant projects across Uttar Pradesh, including the expansion of Gosain Ki Bazar Bypass-Varanasi (Ghaghra Bridge-Varanasi) (NH-233) to four lanes, the enhancement of the Khutar to Lakhimpur section of NH-730, and the capacity augmentation of the LPG plant in Trishundi, Amethi district. The inauguration will also include projects like the installation of a Sewage Treatment Plant in Pankha and Jajmau, Kanpur, interception and diversion of drains, and a Common Effluent Treatment Plant (CETP) for the Tannery Cluster at Jajmau in Kanpur.
